Question 1

Can my customers make a booking on my white label travel portal without creating an account?

Accepted Answer

Yes, customers can complete a booking without creating an account when guest booking is included and enabled for your white label travel portal. They will still need to enter the traveller and contact details required to confirm the booking, but they do not have to choose a password or sign in first. Guest booking can make the process quicker for customers who are booking with you for the first time or who do not want another online account. The exact steps depend on the travel product, the payment process and the connected supplier. Some bookings may require extra customer information before they can be confirmed. There are limits to consider. A guest may not have a personal area where they can return later to view every booking or download documents. Your agency can still receive and manage the booking through the portal, while the customer can receive the confirmation and documents through the delivery options available with your setup. Whether you can offer both guest booking and customer accounts depends on your portal plan and configuration. Check which sign in choices are enabled, then make a test booking from search through confirmation so you can see exactly what your customers will experience.

Question 2

Can my customers filter hotel searches by location, star rating and facilities?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a hotel booking API can let customers narrow their hotel search by details such as location, star rating, property type and available facilities. This can make it much easier for travellers to find a suitable stay without checking every hotel shown in the results. The filters your website can offer depend on the information supplied through the API. Common details may include distance from a landmark, swimming pool, parking, internet access, room features and accessibility options. Some suppliers provide more complete hotel information than others, so a filter may not be available for every property or destination. Search filters should help customers compare options, but they should not be treated as a guarantee that every listed facility will be available throughout the stay. Hotel information can change, and certain services may be seasonal, restricted or subject to conditions. The customer should see the full hotel and room details before confirming the booking. Ask glideFares which search filters are supported by the hotel suppliers available with your plan, then decide which ones are most useful for your customers.

Question 3

Can my customers see the change and refund rules for a flight before they book?

Accepted Answer

Yes, your booking website can show the change and refund conditions provided through the flight booking API before the customer confirms the booking. This helps the customer understand whether the ticket can be changed or cancelled, and whether airline charges may apply. The amount of detail depends on the airline, the supplier and the information returned by the API. Some flights include a clear summary, while others may provide longer fare conditions that need careful reading. Certain low cost or restricted tickets may not allow changes or refunds at all. The conditions can also be different for each flight in the same journey. These rules should be shown close to the flight details and again before payment, so the customer has a chance to review them. The final conditions attached to the confirmed ticket are important, because airline policies and any supplier service conditions will apply if the customer later asks for a change or refund. Before offering this on your website, check which fare rules your connected flight suppliers return and how clearly those rules will appear during booking.

Question 4

Can I prepare a travel quote for a customer and turn it into a booking after they accept it?

Accepted Answer

Yes, travel agency software can help you prepare a travel quote and use the selected option as the starting point for a booking. This can save your staff from entering the same traveller and trip details again, while giving the customer a clear summary to review before making a decision. A quote is not usually a confirmed reservation. Flight seats, hotel rooms, transfer availability and prices may change until the booking is completed and confirmed by the supplier. Some options may also expire, so the final details should be checked again when the customer is ready to proceed. The exact process depends on the travel product, the supplier connection and the features included in your plan. In some cases, an accepted quote can move directly into the booking process. In other cases, your staff may need to search again, select the current option and confirm any changes with the customer before payment. Before sending quotes regularly, check whether your setup can save customer details, show booking conditions, record quote expiry information and convert accepted options into bookings. Ask glideFares to confirm which quoting features are available with your chosen products, supplier connections and plan.

Question 5

Can my white label travel portal show booking pages in the languages my customers speak?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a white label travel portal can be set up to show customer facing pages in more than one language, but the languages available may depend on your plan and the parts of the portal you use. Customers can usually choose a language when they visit, so common instructions, search fields, buttons and booking steps are easier for them to understand. Not every piece of travel content is controlled in the same way. Hotel descriptions, room names, fare conditions, cancellation rules and other details often come directly from the supplier or its API. If that content is supplied in only one language, it may remain in that language even when the rest of the portal has been translated. Some booking documents or messages may also use the language provided by the supplier. It is important to review each language before making it available to customers. Travel terms need to be clear, and your own pages, policies and customer messages may require translations that you approve. Adding a language also does not automatically change the displayed currency or payment options, as those settings can depend on your portal setup, supplier support and payment service. Next, decide which languages your customers need most and check which portal pages, supplier details and booking documents can be shown in each one.

Question 6

Can my customers book several hotel rooms for one family or group in a single booking?

Accepted Answer

Yes, customers can usually search for and book several hotel rooms together through a hotel booking API. They can enter the required rooms, the number of adults and children staying in each room, and the children's ages where needed. The available options shown will depend on what the hotel supplier sends through the API and whether it supports room combinations in one search. The rooms may appear together on the customer journey, but the supplier might confirm them under separate booking references. Each room can also have its own guest details, meal plan and cancellation conditions. Availability can change while the booking is being completed, so one room may confirm while another becomes unavailable. The portal should show the final booking response clearly before treating the whole request as confirmed. Group bookings that need many rooms may not be handled in the same way as an ordinary family booking. Some hotels require a separate request for larger groups, and special terms may apply. Before offering this option, check how many rooms your chosen supplier allows in one request, whether mixed room types are supported, and how separate confirmations or failed rooms will be shown to your staff and customers.

Question 7

Can my travel agency software automatically remind customers about an upcoming trip?

Accepted Answer

Yes, travel agency software can automatically remind customers about an upcoming trip, if this feature is included in your plan and has been set up for your portal. Reminders can help customers prepare without your staff having to contact every traveller manually. The message may include useful booking details, travel dates, check in guidance, document reminders and instructions for reaching your agency. What can be included depends on the booking information available in the system. Details such as schedule changes, terminal information or supplier instructions depend on what the airline, hotel or other supplier sends through the API. You may be able to choose when reminders are sent and use wording that matches your agency. Some systems can send different messages for flights, hotels, transfers or other services. The available delivery methods and level of customisation depend on your plan and the messaging options connected to your portal. A reminder should support the official booking documents, not replace them, because travel details can change after the message is sent. Check which reminder options are included in your glideFares setup, then confirm the timing, wording and contact details before enabling automatic messages for customers.

Question 8

Can my customers use my white label travel portal on their phones without downloading an app?

Accepted Answer

Yes, a white label travel portal can be made easy to use through the web browser on a phone, so customers do not normally need to download an app. The pages can adjust to a smaller screen and let customers search, review options and complete a booking while they are away from a computer. The exact experience depends on the portal setup, the features included in your plan and the booking steps supplied by each travel provider. Some payment pages or special booking options may open in a separate page, and their appearance or ease of use may be controlled by the payment service or supplier. Older phones, small screens and outdated browsers can also affect how smoothly a page works. A mobile friendly portal is not the same as a separate mobile app. Customers visit it using your website address, and they can save that page to their phone for quicker access if their device allows it. This keeps the booking journey simple, although features such as phone alerts, saved sign in details or device specific tools may not work in the same way as they would in an app. Before launching, check the full search, booking, payment and confirmation journey on several common phone and tablet screen sizes, and ask glideFares which mobile features are included in your chosen portal setup.

Question 9

Can the hotel booking API stop the same hotel appearing more than once in search results?

Accepted Answer

Yes, the hotel booking API can help reduce duplicate hotel listings in search results. The same property may be supplied through several booking sources, sometimes with slightly different names, addresses, photos or room descriptions. Matching these records allows your customer to see one clear hotel listing instead of several versions of the same property. How well this works depends on the information supplied with each hotel. If the property details are complete and consistent, matching is usually easier. If a supplier sends an old hotel name, an incomplete address or conflicting details, separate listings may still appear. Newly added properties can also take time to be matched correctly. When several supplier records are matched to one hotel, the available rooms and rates can be shown together so the customer can compare suitable options. The cancellation terms, meal plan, room details and payment conditions may still differ between offers, so these should remain visible before the booking is confirmed. Before going live, check search results for your main destinations and report any repeated or incorrectly matched properties so they can be reviewed.

Question 10

Can I cancel a flight and request a refund through the flight booking API?

Accepted Answer

Yes, flight cancellations and refund requests can be handled through the glideFares flight booking API when the airline or flight supplier supports this service. This allows your team to start the process from your own booking portal instead of managing every request separately. Cancellation does not always mean that the customer will receive a refund. The result depends on the fare rules, the airline policy, the time of the request and whether the ticket has already been used in part. Some fares may be refundable, some may include cancellation charges and others may not allow a refund at all. The information and actions available also depend on what the supplier sends through the API. In some cases, the cancellation can be confirmed immediately. In other cases, only a refund request can be submitted, and the airline or supplier must review it before confirming the outcome. The time taken for an approved refund to be completed is also controlled by the airline, supplier and payment method. Your portal should show the relevant fare conditions before your team submits the request, but those conditions should still be read carefully because airline rules can vary between bookings. Check which cancellation and refund services your chosen flight suppliers support before deciding how your staff will manage changes after ticketing.
