Can my white label travel portal show my customers prices in their own currency and language?
Yes, a white label travel portal can be set up with more than one language and more than one display currency, though how far each goes depends on your plan and on the suppliers behind your search results.
Currency is usually the simpler of the two. The portal can show prices in the currency your customers expect, converted from the currency the supplier quotes in, with your markup applied on top. The part to watch is the difference between the currency a customer sees and the currency they are actually charged in, because that is decided by your payment provider and sometimes by the supplier as well. You should also expect small rounding differences between the amount shown on screen and the final charge whenever a conversion is involved.
Language works differently. The parts of the portal we control, such as menus, buttons, form labels, emails and your own pages, can be translated and switched by the customer. Content that comes from a supplier, like hotel descriptions, room names, cancellation terms and airline fare rules, arrives in whatever language that supplier sends, and for many suppliers that is English only. You can write your own wording around it, but we cannot promise translated supplier content where the supplier does not provide it.
A sensible next step is to decide which languages and display currencies your customers genuinely need, check with your payment provider which currencies it can collect in, and then ask us to confirm what your plan covers before you start advertising it.
