Yes, in most cases a travel booking website can be offered in more than one language, although how many languages you get, and how much of each page is translated, depends on your plan and on the suppliers sitting behind your search results.

The straightforward part is the fixed wording on your own portal, such as the search boxes, buttons, booking steps, error messages and confirmation screens. That wording can be translated, and a visitor can either switch language from a menu or be shown a language based on the country they are browsing from. You can also give us your own wording if you prefer particular phrasing for your market, which is worth doing because automatic translation does not always get travel terms right.

The less predictable part is the content that comes in from hotel and flight suppliers, such as property descriptions, room names, facility lists, airline names and fare rules. Some suppliers can return that content in several languages and others return English only, so it is normal to see a fully translated page with some supplier text still in English. Vouchers and confirmation emails can usually follow the customer's chosen language where the wording belongs to your portal, while supplier wording stays as it arrives.

It helps to decide which languages really matter for the customers you are selling to, then ask us to check which of those languages your chosen suppliers can actually provide content in before you launch.

Saved.
