Yes, a hotel search on your portal can take the number of adults, the number of children and the age of each child, and return rooms that suit that family. Entering the ages is not just a formality. Hotels price children differently depending on how old they are, and many properties offer free stays or reduced rates for younger children sharing with parents. If the ages are missing or wrong, the price you show the customer may not match what the hotel expects on arrival.

The search can also handle families who need more than one room. Your customer can set the occupancy for each room separately, so two adults and one child can share one room while older children take another. The results then show rooms that match that layout, and the total covers every room in the same booking.

How far this goes depends on the supplier behind the results and on the property itself. Some suppliers limit how many children can be added to a single room, some treat infants differently from older children, and some hotels simply do not accept children at all or ask that extra beds be requested and paid for at the property. Because of that, the room description and the child policy shown on the booking page are the parts that really matter, and they come straight from the supplier rather than from us.

When you are quoting a family, enter the exact ages as they will be on the travel dates, then read the room and child policy on the booking page before you confirm, so your customer knows whether anything is payable at the hotel.

Saved.
