Yes, in most cases you can see the difference between what the supplier charged and what your customer paid on each booking, so you know what you earned on it. The booking record normally shows the net cost that came back from the supplier, the markup or service fee you added, and the total the customer was charged. From those figures you can see your margin on that single booking, and you can usually pull the same information for a date range so you are not adding it up by hand.

How complete the picture is depends on the supplier and the type of booking. Some suppliers return a clear net rate and a sell rate, which makes the margin obvious. Others pay you commission later, after the traveller has stayed or flown, and in those cases the software can only show what it was told at the time of booking, not the amount that eventually lands in your bank account. Airline tickets in particular often work on a net fare basis rather than commission, so what you see is the gap between fare and sell price rather than a commission percentage.

There are also costs the software does not know about, such as card processing charges, refunds that came through later, or an amount you agreed privately with a supplier outside the system. If those matter to you, treat the figures in the software as your sales record and reconcile them against your bank statements and supplier invoices at month end rather than relying on them alone.

When you are being shown the software, ask to see a real booking record and the sales report side by side, and check that the breakdown you need for your own accounts is actually visible to you and to whichever staff you want to have access to it.

Saved.
