Can I let my sub agents book on my software with their own login and give them different markups?
Yes, you can. Sub agent logins are a normal part of travel agency software, and they are one of the main reasons agencies take a portal in the first place. Each sub agent gets their own username and password, and when they log in they search and book as usual, but they only ever see the selling price you have set for them. They do not see what you paid the supplier, and they do not see what any other sub agent is paying, so your margin stays yours.
Markups are usually set by group rather than one sub agent at a time, which saves a lot of work once you have a few of them. You create a group, decide the markup for that group, and then put each sub agent into the group that suits the deal you agreed with them. In most setups you can also vary the markup by product, so hotels can carry a different markup from flights. How detailed this can get depends on your plan and on how the supplier passes the rate through, so it is worth confirming before you promise a sub agent something specific.
You can normally also control how they pay you. The common method is a wallet or a credit limit, where the sub agent either tops up in advance or books against an agreed limit, and the software stops new bookings once that is used up. Every booking they make still shows in your own account, so you can see who booked what and chase anyone who falls behind.
Before you sign up a sub agent, check with us which markup and credit controls are included on your plan so the terms you offer them match what the software can actually enforce.
