Yes, you can offer part payment on your portal, though it suits some products much better than others. The money side belongs to you, so you are free to take a deposit at the time of booking, record it against the trip, and collect the balance later. The software will show you what has been paid and what is still outstanding on each booking.

The real limit comes from the supplier rather than from your website. Most airline tickets have to be paid for and issued at the time of booking, so if you accept only a deposit on a flight you are carrying the rest of the cost yourself until your customer pays you. Hotels are usually easier, because many rates can be cancelled free until a certain date, or are settled by the guest at the property, so a deposit sits comfortably alongside them. Your own holiday packages are the simplest of all, since you set the payment terms yourself.

On the portal you can decide how much the first payment should be, either as a share of the trip cost or as a fixed amount, and send your customer a secure link when the balance falls due. The booking stays in the system marked as part paid, and you get a reminder before the due date so it is not forgotten. Which of these options are switched on for you will depend on your plan and on the payment gateway you have connected, so please confirm that with us rather than assuming.

Before you advertise part payment to your customers, look at the payment and cancellation deadlines on the rates you sell most often, and decide how much of the trip cost you are willing to carry yourself until the balance comes in.

Saved.
