Can I book a flight for a large group of travellers all together through your flight booking API?

No, not usually as one single booking. Almost every airline sets a limit on how many passengers can sit under one booking reference, and our flight booking API follows whatever that airline allows. If you try to search or book above that limit, you will normally get no results back or an error rather than a confirmed group booking, so a large party cannot simply be pushed through in one go.

The practical way round it is to split the party into smaller bookings that each stay within the airline limit. That works for most family groups and small tours, but you should warn your customer about a few things. The seats may not end up next to each other, each booking gets its own reference number, and the fare can come out different between the bookings if the cheaper seats run out while you are working. Any later change or cancellation also has to be handled booking by booking.

Proper group fares, the kind where you negotiate a rate with the airline, pay a deposit and send the passenger names closer to departure, are handled by the airline group desk and not through a live booking API. Whether you can then record that group booking inside your portal as an offline entry depends on your plan, so it is worth asking before you promise anything to the customer.
