Yes, the photos and descriptions come through the hotel booking API, so you do not have to type them in yourself. Along with the room and the rate you normally get the hotel name, the address, the star rating, a description of the property, the facilities such as pool or parking, and a set of images. That is what fills the hotel page on your website, so your customer can see what they are booking.
How good that content is depends on the supplier. Chain hotels in big cities usually come with long descriptions and plenty of clear photos, while small guest houses and properties in smaller towns can arrive with one picture and two lines of text. Some suppliers send descriptions in English only. We cannot improve what a supplier does not give us, so if one hotel looks thin on your site, that is normally where it is coming from.
Content usually arrives in a separate feed from the live price search, which means it is collected once and refreshed from time to time rather than pulled fresh on every search. That keeps the search quick for your customer, but it also means a hotel that has just been refurbished may show older photos for a while. For the properties you sell most often, you can usually replace or add to the wording and pictures yourself so they read the way you want.
Pick a handful of hotels you sell the most and ask us to show you exactly how their content comes through, so you know what your pages will look like before you go live.
