Will I get a hotel voucher I can send to my customer to show at check in?
Yes, in almost every case you will get a hotel voucher you can pass straight to your customer. Once a hotel booking is confirmed through the API, the system produces a confirmation document that carries the hotel name and address, the guest names, the room type, the meal basis, the check in and check out dates and the reference the hotel uses to find the booking. That is the document your customer shows at reception, so it is worth sending it to them as soon as the booking is confirmed rather than waiting until the day of travel.
The voucher can normally carry your own agency name, logo and contact details, because it is your customer and your brand. How far you can change the layout or the wording depends on your plan and on how your portal is set up, so if you need your own terms or a particular note printed on it, tell us before you go live rather than after.
One honest limit is that a voucher can only show what the supplier gives us. Some suppliers return a full hotel confirmation number that the front desk can look up directly, and others return their own reference, which means the hotel may hold the booking under the supplier name instead of the guest name. If a hotel ever tells your customer they cannot find the booking, that is usually the reason, and the right step is to come to us so we can chase the supplier rather than booking the room again.
Make one test booking before your first busy period, open the voucher, and check that your agency details, the cancellation terms and the reference numbers all read the way you want your customers to see them.
