Yes, in most cases you can see this before you confirm. Room rates that come through a hotel booking API normally carry a board basis, which tells you whether the price is room only, room with breakfast, half board or all inclusive. That board basis is shown next to the room name in the search results, so your staff can compare a room only rate against a breakfast rate for the same hotel and pick whichever one suits the customer.

The honest limit is that this information comes from the supplier and the hotel, not from us, so the quality varies. Some suppliers send a clean board code that we can display neatly. Others bury the detail inside the room description text, so you may see something like a double room with buffet breakfast written in the room name instead of a separate label. Where breakfast is available but payable at the hotel rather than included in the rate, that is often not shown at all, because it is not part of the amount you collect.

It also helps to remember that the meal plan belongs to the one specific rate you selected, not to the hotel as a whole. If you change the room type, the dates or the number of guests, you are looking at a different rate, and the breakfast may no longer be part of it. Child breakfast rules can differ from adult rules too, and those are set by the hotel.

Before you confirm, read the board basis on the exact room you have chosen, and copy that wording into the confirmation you send your customer so there is no disagreement at the breakfast desk.

Saved.
