Yes, most multi city and open jaw trips can be searched and booked in one go through our flight booking API. Instead of sending a single origin and destination, you send each leg with its own cities and dates, and the search comes back with combinations that cover the whole journey. That lets you quote a customer who flies out to one city, travels overland, and comes home from another, without having to price each piece separately and add it up yourself.

How good the result is depends on the airlines and the suppliers behind the search. Full service airlines and global distribution content handle these itineraries well and will often price the whole journey as a single fare, which can work out better for your customer than separate tickets. Budget airlines usually do not sell this way, so where that content is included the system has to build the trip as separate one way flights. When that happens, each leg carries its own ticket, its own baggage allowance and its own rules, and a delay on one leg does not protect the next.

There are practical limits as well. Some suppliers cap how many legs a single search can hold, and a long itinerary can take longer to come back or return fewer options than a simple return trip. Change and refund rules can differ from leg to leg when the journey is made up of more than one ticket, so read what the results actually tell you rather than assuming it all behaves as one booking.

Try the multi city search in your test environment using a real example of the kind of trip your customers ask for, and check whether it comes back as one ticket or several before you quote a price.

Saved.
