Yes, in most cases you will see it in the software, although how fast you hear about it depends on the supplier holding the room. When a hotel cannot honour a confirmed booking, the supplier is told first, and that change comes back to the booking record so the status updates and you get a notification. You are not left waiting for the hotel to call you. The honest limit is timing. Some suppliers pass this on within minutes, others take longer, and an overbooking that is only discovered at the front desk may reach you after your customer has already walked in.

What normally happens next is relocation. Most suppliers will try to move your guest to a hotel of a similar or better standard nearby, and they carry the cost difference themselves under their own terms. Once the replacement is confirmed, the new hotel shows on the same booking, so your records and your voucher stay in one place. If nothing suitable is available, the supplier cancels instead and the booking moves to a cancelled status with the refund recorded for you to follow up.

What the software cannot do is decide the outcome for you. The relocation rules, the compensation, if any, and how far the guest can be moved are all set by the supplier, not by glideFares, and they vary from one supplier to another. Your job is to act on the alert, speak to your customer early, and push the supplier if the alternative offered is not acceptable.

Before you start selling rooms, ask to see the overbooking and relocation terms for the suppliers on your plan, and always keep a working mobile number for your traveller on the booking so you can reach them quickly on the day of arrival.

Saved.
