If I decide to leave later on, can I take my own domain name and my customer bookings with me?

Yes, your domain name stays yours, and in most cases you can take a copy of your booking and customer records with you when you go. A white label travel website is built on our technology, but the brand sitting on top of it belongs to you. If you registered the domain in your own company name, which we always suggest, then it is simply pointed at our setup while you are with us. If you leave, you point it somewhere else and nobody needs our permission to do that.

Your booking history and customer details are your business records, so you can ask for an export of them. That usually comes out as a spreadsheet covering things like passenger names, travel dates, suppliers used and the status of each booking, which is enough to load into another system or keep for your own accounts and tax records. Be aware that an export is data, not a working website. The look of the site, the page layouts and any custom design work done inside our platform do not travel with you, because those live in the platform itself.

There are a few honest limits. Bookings that are still live at the time you leave are held with the airline or hotel under whatever arrangement issued them, so servicing those may need to continue through the original channel until the travel date passes. Some supplier contracts also restrict how much of their rate and contract detail we are allowed to hand over, so a few commercial fields may be left out. What your plan includes in terms of export format and help with the move is worth settling in writing rather than assuming.

Before you sign up anywhere, check that the domain is registered in your own company name and ask us in writing what a data export would contain so you know exactly where you stand later.
