Can I sell budget airline flights through your flight booking API or only the big airlines?

Yes, in most cases you can sell low cost airlines alongside the larger full service carriers through our flight booking API, but the exact list of budget airlines you get depends on which suppliers are enabled for your account and on the content included in your plan. Some low cost carriers are only reachable in certain markets, and a few sell only through their own website and are not available to agents anywhere, so the coverage you see will not be identical in every country you sell to.

It also helps to know that budget airline results behave differently from normal airline results. The fare you see is usually the seat alone, with baggage, seat selection, meals and priority boarding offered as paid extras that your customer picks during the booking. These fares normally have to be paid and ticketed straight away rather than held, and the airline's own rules on changes and cancellations apply, which are often tighter than those of a full service carrier. Your customer sees one clean booking flow on your site either way, so the difference shows up mainly in what is included and how flexible the ticket is.

Refunds and changes on these fares are handled under the airline's conditions, not ours, so there are routes where a change simply is not possible and the ticket has to be bought again.
